Balanced Offensive Attack Leads Women’s Basketball Past Fitchburg

Framingham, Mass.- Four Framingham State University Rams scored double figure points leading the Rams to an 86-57 victory over Fitchburg State in MASCAC action Saturday afternoon in Framingham.

The Rams are now 9-3 and the Falcons are 8-4, both teams are 1-1 in league play.

Senior Johanna Annunziata (Auburn) was 6-for-9 from the field including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc finishing with 17 points and 7 assists. Sophomore Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills/ Agwam) scored 17 points, and finished with a game high 9 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Sophomore Sarah Palace (Auburn) added 16 points while senior Nicole Bostic (Easton/ Oliver Ames) registered 13.

Falcons senior Kristen Enright (Westminster/ Oakmont) scored a team high 17 points and collected 8 rebounds. Classmates Rebecca Fluet (Fitchburg/ Leominster) and Laura Cote (Ashby/ Saint Benards) picked up 13 and 14 points, respectively.

The Rams shot 55 percent from the field including hitting 8-of-18 (44 percent) from long range. The Falcons were just 23-of-77 and 3-of-15 from downtown.  

The Rams will travel to Bridgewater State for a MASCAC matchup on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Fitchburg will host MCLA on the same day and time.
