Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University Rams won their sixth straight contest on Wednesday night and remain undefeated at home after a 59-52 victory over Wellesley College.  Junior guard Kristen Hoffman (Foxboro, Mass.) tallied a game-high 20 points for the Rams on 7-of-14 shooting from the field.

With the loss, the Blue drop to 3-5 on the season as the Rams improved to 7-3.

The Rams got off to a fast start and led early, however Wellesley stormed back thanks to eight first-half points from Morgyne Weaver (Oklahoma City, OK) as the Blue only trailed at the half by three.  Weaver would go on to have 12 points on the evening and shared team-high honors with Leslie Leong (Sacramento, CA) for the team lead.

In the second half, the outside shooting from Hoffman and senior Madeleine Park (Blue Hill, ME) proved to be the difference and helped the Rams regain control of the game. Park would go on to finish with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field.  The Rams shot just under 44% from three on the night, while the Blue just hit 3-of-15 from deep.

This was the final non-conference game for both teams as they pick up conference action over the weekend with the Rams traveling to Worcester State on Saturday at 3 p.m.

"Every league game is like a playoff game for us and we wanted to show the younger girls tonight what it's going to be like," Park would also later add.

Coach of the Blue, Jennifer Kroll said after the game, "It was a disappointing loss.  They run their system very well and they had more fight than we did tonight."  Wellesley will resume their conference schedule on the road this Saturday when they travel to Smith College at 2 p.m.

Coach Elizabeth Brosseau for the Rams said, 'this win gives us momentum and we needed it to brush the dust off. "

The Lady Rams will have to wait until Tuesday to defend their home winning streak, when they will host the Bridgewater State Bears in their second conference game of the season.
