Grassia and Carignan Earn MASCAC Softball Weekly Honors

Framingham, MA – Junior infielder Brooke Grassia (Danvers, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Player of the Week and freshman utility player Eliza Carignan (Epson, NH) has been selected Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 7th.     

Grassia earns player of the week after going 10-for-21 (.476) with three doubles, three triples, 11 RBI, nine runs scored and three stolen bases in a 5-1 week for the Rams. She went 5-for-8 with two doubles, a triple and five RBI in sweep of MCLA and added two hits, two RBI and five runs scored in sweep of Mass. Maritime. 

Carignan earns rookie of the week honors after going 8-for-18 at the plate with three doubles, a home run, four RBI and seven runs scored. Carignan went 6-for-7 with three doubles, a home run and four RBI in sweep of MCLA and added a hit and a run scored in split with Bridgewater State.
