Gunarathne Repeats as ECAC Division III New England Softball Pitcher of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Sophomore pitcher Kelsi Gunarathne (North Providence, RI) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 19^th. 

Gunarathne repeats as the ECAC pitcher of the week after going 4-1 with five complete games. She allowed just eight runs, six earned, on 23 hits with 28 strikeouts and a 1.35 ERA.  Gunarathne, who has been tabbed as the MASCAC pitcher of the week in the first two weeks of the season, tossed a complete game eight inning, two hit shutout with seven strikeouts against Trinity.  She tossed a complete game in a 4-0 victory over Plattsburg allowing just three hits with seven strikeouts.
