25 Rams Named to Spring 2012 MASCAC All-Academic Team

Buzzards Bay, Mass. — A total of 520 student-athletes, including 25 from Framingham State University, have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with selection to the league’s Spring 2012 All-Academic Team as announced by MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann.

North Adams, Mass. – The Framingham State University softball team closed the 2012 season with a sweep of conference foe MCLA this afternoon in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) doubleheader at the Joe Zavattaro Complex. The Rams won the opener by a score of 3-0 and took the nightcap by a score of 11-3 in six innings.

Waltham, Mass. – Brandeis softball seniors accounted for five doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI today as the Judges swept visiting Framingham State University with a pair of 9-1 victories. The Judges won game one in five innings and game two in six frames.

Framingham, Mass. – Behind a pair of solid pitching performances the Salem State University Vikings swept a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) softball doubleheader this afternoon against Framingham State at Farley Field. The Vikings battled from a run down twice to win the opener 3-2 before using a seven run inning to defeat the Rams 9-5 in the night cap.

Framingham, Mass. –The Framingham State University softball team swept Fitchburg State University this afternoon in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) doubleheader at Farley Field. The Rams offense exploded for 11 runs in the fourth inning of game one as the Rams won 15-3 in five innings and took the second game by a score of 4-2.

Baseball and Softball Schedule Updates

The time and location of tomorrow’s baseball game against the University of Massachusetts Boston have been changed. The game will now be played at Malden Catholic High School at 7 p.m. The softball doubleheader with Bridgewater State that was unable to be played this past weekend has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 7th, at Framingham at noon.
