Buban and Walsh Earn All-MASCAC Cross Country Honors – Buban Named Rookie of the Year

Framingham, MA – Freshman Kate Buban (Wrentham, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Year and joins senior Patrick Walsh on the All-MASCAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams.   

Buban earns Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Year honors after being the first first-year runner to cross the line at the 2023 MASCAC Championships. Buban, who helped the Rams to a third-place finish, completed the 5K course with a time of 20:46.39 to place eighth which was just three seconds behind the seventh place finisher. 

Walsh earns All-MASCAC honors for the first time in his career after crossing the line as the Rams top finisher at the MASCAC Championships. Walsh helped lead the men's program to a fourth-place finish as he completed the 8K course with a time of 27:48.59. Walsh's time was good enough for fourth place. 

The top ten finishers in the men's race and the top ten finishers in the women's race earned All-MASCAC honors.
