Walsh Takes Top Spot for Men's Cross Country at Rams Invitational

Ashland, Mass. - The Framingham State University men's cross country team received a first place finish from Patrick Walsh as the Rams placed third at the first Rams Invitational on Saturday morning at the Warren Center.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams took third place in the first cross country meet they hosted at the Warren Center in Ashland with 45 total points. Mass. Maritime took the top spot with 37 points and Worcester State placed second with 43. 

  • Walsh took the top spot as he completed the 8K course in a time of 29:18. 

  • Mass. Maritime's Spencer Reese placed second at 30:18 and Worcester State saw runners place third and fourth in Jacksen Bolduc (30:27) and Matthew Talbot (31:03). 

  • Framingham's Logan Crow rounded out the top five finishers as he crossed at 31:46. Teammate Parker Winters was just behind in sixth as he crossed at 32:13. 

  • Rounding out the top five for the Rams were Ayden Giombetti who finished at 34:46 and Ben Hurney, who lost his shoes in the mud during the race, finished at 40:40.

The Rams are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Westfield State for the James Earley Invitational.
