Men's Cross Country Starts 2023 with Third Place Finish at Jim Sheehan Memorial XC Meet

Fitchburg, Mass. - The Framingham State University men's cross country team begins the 2023 season this morning with a third-place finish at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Meet hosted by Fitchburg State University.  

THE BASICS:

- Location: Doyle Conservation – Leominster, Mass. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams claimed the third spot finishing with 68 points and an average time of 35:55 for the 8K course. The Rams finished just behind Worcester State who took the second spot with 59 points. 

  • The Rms top finisher was Patrick Walsh who crossed the line in third place finishing with a time of 30:00. 

  • Logan Crow followed next for the Rams at 32:51, while Parker Winters crossed next at 35:38. 

  • Bruno Barbosa opened the season with a time of 37:38, whil Ayden Giombetti and Ben Hurney followed at 43:30 and 44:46.

The Rams are back in action on September 16th when they travel to UMass Dartmouth.
