Men’s Cross Country Places Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State University men's cross country team has finished fifth in the 2023 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll as voted upon by the MASCAC coaches. 

The Rams earned 16 points to land fifth in the poll. Patrick Walsh is looking for his third straight All-Conference accolade after finishing fifth in a time of 27:48. 

Bridgewater State received five of the first-place votes for 34 points to lead this year's poll. Last year's runner-up Westfield State is second with a first-place vote and 29 points. Landing in the third spot with 26 points is Fitchburg State followed by Worcester State with 23 points. Rounding out this year's preseason poll is Massachusetts Maritime and MCLA in sixth and seventh with 12 and seven points, respectively. 

The Rams open up the 2023 campaign on Saturday, September 2nd when they compete at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invite hosted by Fitchburg State.
