Men's Cross Country Returns to Racing with 8th Place Finish at Suffolk Short Course Classic

Boston, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's cross country team returned to racing for the first time since 2019 and placed 8^th at the Suffolk Short Course Classic at Franklin Park this afternoon.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• The Rams top finished was freshman Patrick Walsh (Lynnfield, Mass.) who navigated the 5K course in a time of 17:21, which was good enough to cross the line 24^th.
• Junior Kevin Durant (Lynn, Mass.) and sophomore PJ Pharmer (Peru, Mass.) followed for the Rams crossing just a second apart at 18:51 and 18:52 respectively.
•  Sophomore Manny Miranda (West Springfield, Mass.) was the fourth Ram to complete the course at 19:54, while the duo of sophomores Cullen Lancaster (Mansfield, Mass.) and Miguel Torres (Milford, Mass.) followed at 21:01 and 21:29 to round out the top six for the Rmas.

The Rams are idle next week but back on the course in two weeks when they travel to UMass Dartmouth.
