Men's Cross Country Opens 2019 Finishing Seventh at Early Bird Invitational

Keene, N.H.  – Freshman Miguel Torres (Milford, Mass.) crossed the in 19th place to lead the Framingham State University men's cross country team to a seventh place finish as they opened the 2019 season this morning at the Early Bird Invitational hosted by Keene State.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Torres was solid in his collegiate competition for the Rams completing the 5K course in a time of 16:54, while classmate Jaydon Kinuthia (Leominster, Mass.) followed at 17:50 in his first collegiate action.
  • Fellow freshman Manny Miranda (West Springfield, Mass.) followed at 18:20, while sophomore Kevin Durant (Lynn, Mass.) began his second season with a solid showing finishing at 18:35.3.
  • Right behind Durant for the Rams was freshman Cullen Lancaster (Mansfield, Mass.) crossing at 18.35.5.  Rounding out the top eight finishers for the Rams were freshman P.J. Pharmer (Peru, Mass.) at 18:38 and classmate Alex Portanova (Walpole, Mass.) and sophomore Adam Banat (Shrewsbury, Mass.) at 19:31.
