Men’s Cross Country Finishes Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State men's cross country team has been predicted to finish fifth in the 2018 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll as selected by the seven coaches from around the conference.

The Rams were seventh at last year's conference meet with Logan Cochran (Marlborough, Mass.) crossing the line for the team in just over 33 minutes.

Fitchburg State, the 2017 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference meet champion, finished first in the poll receiving three of the first place votes for 33 points. Grabbing the second spot with three first place votes and 31 points is Bridgewater State. Westfield State is next in third with 29 points followed by Worcester State with 21 points. Tied with the Rams in fifth place is Massachusetts Maritime with 12 points and rounding out this year's preseason poll is MCLA in seventh.

The Rams open their 2018 campaign at the Jim Sheehan Invitation in Fitchburg, Mass. on Saturday, September 1st.
