Men’s Cross Country has Strong Showing at MASCAC Championship Meet

Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's cross country team placed seventh at the 2017 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships this morning at Stanley Park.  Fitchburg State University captured the MASCAC Title by winning the meet.

The Rams top finisher was freshman Brett Cumming (Sterling, Mass.) who completed the 8K course in a time of 29:51, while classmate Victor Chiang (Hopkinton, Mass.) followed at 31:10.

Freshman Logan Cochran (Marlborough, Mass.) was next to cross the line at 33:06 and Tyler Crowley (Webster, Mass.) followed behind at 33:50.  Freshman Emmanuel Marfo (Dracut, Mass.) crossed at 37:45 and junior Matt Helwig (Framingham, Mass.) rounded out the field for the Rams at 44:11.

The Rams are back in action on November 11th at the NCAA Division III New England Regional hosted by the University of Southern Maine.
