Men’s Cross Country Comes in 6th at MASCAC Championship

Fitchburg, Mass.- The Framingham State University men's cross country team raced to a 6th place finish at the 2016 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships hosted by Fitchburg State Saturday morning.

The Rams were led by Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) who completed the 8K course in a time of 28:37, while teammate Richard Wertz (South Easton, Mass.) followed behind at 29:08.

The Rams next finisher was Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) in a time of 32:11 and Steven Furtney (Pembroke, Mass.) followed at 32:55.  Rounding out the Rams in the race were Michael Ferris (37:32) and John Nephew (42:57).

The Rams are idle next week, but return to the course on November 12th at the NCAA Div. III New England Regional hosted by Westfield State.
