Men’s Cross Country Races at James Earley Invitational

Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's cross country team competed at the 2016 James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park this morning.

The Rams were led by senior Richie Wertz (South Easton, Mass.) who completed the 8K course in a time of 28:43, while classmate Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) crossed just three places behind at 28:44.

Sophomore Steven Furtney (Pembroke, Mass.) placed third for the Rams in a time of 32:36, while senior Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) used a strong final 800 meters to finish at 33:17.  Sophomore John Nephew (Westford, Mass.) rounded out the field for the Rams as he crossed the line at 41:02.

The Rams are back in action next Saturday at the Western New England Cross Country Invitational.
