Stevens Leads Men’s Cross Country to 7th Place Finish at Tri-State Invitational

Lincoln, R.I. – The Framingham State University men's cross country team was led by senior Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) who crossed the line in 16th place as the Rams placed 7th at the Tri-State Cross Country Invitational hosted by CCRI on Saturday morning.

Stevens, the Rams leading finisher, completed the 8K course in a time of 30:20 which was just 15 seconds ahead of the Rams second finisher classmate Richie Wertz (South Easton, Mass.). Wertz cross the line in 30:35.

Rounding out the field for the Rams the Rams were senior Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) who finished in 34:50, junior Michael Ferris (Pittsfield, Mass.) who crossed in 38:16 and sophomore John Nephew (Westford, Mass.) who finished the course in a time of 44:23.

The Rams are back in action next Saturday at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University.
