Men’s Cross Country Races at Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational to Open 2016 Season

Fitchburg, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's cross country has a solid showing in their first meet of the season as they placed sixth at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Alumni Cross Country Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State University.

Senior Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) was the Rams top finisher crossing the line 25th in a time of 29:42.  Classmate Richie Wertz (South Easton, Mass.) was right behind completing the 8K course in 30:03.

Rounding out the Ram racers in the meet were senior Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) (34:11), sophomore Steven Furtney (Pembroke, Mass.) (35:04) and John Nephew (Westford, Mass.) (44:06).

The Rams are back on the course on September 17th at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
