Adam Gabbard has been named the next Framingham State University Head Men’s Soccer Coach as announced by Director of Athletics Tom Kelley.

“We are pleased to have Adam joining our staff to lead our men’s soccer program,” said Kelley.  “He has a vast background of coaching experience and takes over a program that has had recent success and we look forward to where he can elevate our men’s soccer program.”

Gabbard takes over the men’s soccer program from Dean Nichols who guided the program for 21 years and stepped down after the 2023 season.  Gabbard has been the head men’s soccer at the NJCAA’s Bristol Community College since January of 2022.  While at Bristol, Gabbard oversaw all aspects of the program adhering to Region XXI and NJCAA guidelines.  Prior to his time at Bristol Community College, Gabbard spent several years as an assistant coach at Curry College and Dean College.

"I would like to thank President Nancy Niemi, Director of Athletics Thomas Kelley, Deputy Athletic Director Carey Eggen, and the rest of the hiring committee for giving me the opportunity to lead the Framingham State University men’s soccer program,” said Gabbard. “I look forward to building off the recent success of the program, as we will look to contend for MASCAC championships for years to come.”

In addition to Bristol, Gabbard is the Regional Director for Nike Soccer camps where he is responsible for overseeing multiple day camp programs in New England.  Gabbard hires, trains, supervises and monitors the camp staff as well as managing the camp budgets and leading training and practice sessions.

Gabbard holds both an F License and an E License from the United States Soccer Federation as well as several coaching certifications from the United Soccer Coaches.  Gabbard earned a bachelor of science degree in communications from Curry College. While at Curry, Gabbard was a member of the men’s soccer team serving as a team captain and on the captains leadership council.
