Fitchburg, Mass. – The Framingham State men's soccer team shutout Fitchburg State 1-0 in the final game of the regular season Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The low-scoring game was won on a perfect cross, off of a corner kick by Kauan Gomes to Michael Champagne. That score came in the 21st minute of the contest. Neither team would be able to find the back of the net for the remainder of the contest.

Joseph Sturzo had a phenomenal game in net for Framingham, making numerous saves from point-blank range. He completed the shutout after making six saves.

Luke Speers (Collegeville, PA) was tagged with the loss (3-8-2) after seeing one shot on net that found its way in. Alexander Carvalho (N. Providence, RI) came in for the second half, seeing just one shot on net that was saved.
