Late Goal Lifts Gordon Past Men’s Soccer 1-0

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University men's soccer team surrendered the game's only goal in the 85thminute as the Rams suffered a 1-0 defeat by Gordon College this afternoon at Maple Street Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams and the Fighting Scots were scoreless through the first half with the Rams holding a slim 10-9 edge in shots for the half. 

  • The second half remained scoreless until the 85thminute with the Fighting Scots got on the board when Benny Simpson converted off a feed from Noah Martin. 

  • The Rams held a 19-18 edge in shots for the game and Gordon took 11 corner kicks to the Rams three. 

  • Joseph Sturzo took the loss in net for the Rams making eight saves, while Hudson Bennett made 10 stops for Gordon.
