Men’s Soccer Drops Heartbreaker to Trinity; 1-0

Framingham, Mass. The Framingham State men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by a Trinity College goal in the final minutes in non-conference action Tuesday evening in Framingham.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • After a scoreless first half the Bantams had a great look around the 63rdminute when they sent in a one-time pass that couldn't be finished off.  

  • The Bantams had a great look around the 75thminute when a corner kick was headed toward the net, deflected to Trinity forward who's header was saved by Joe Sturzo.  

  • The visitors finally broke through in the 87thminute when Kieren McCabe settled a cross from Jacob Loor and sent inside the right post for the game winner.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Sturzo made six saves in net for Rams while Bernardo Simoes made six stops in the win for the Bantams.  

  • Trinity held the advantage in shots 21-to-10 and corner kick opportunities 5-to-2

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Clark for a 2pm start. The Bantams head to Hamilton on Saturday for a 1:30pm match.
