Men’s Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw with Emerson

FraminghamMass – The Framingham State men's soccer team and the Lions of Emerson College played to a 0-0 draw after two overtime periods Tuesday afternoon at Maple Street Field.  

THE BASICS:

- Records:Framingham State (3-10-1), Emerson (2-8-2) 

- Location: Maple Street Field – Framingham, Mass.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The two teams had multiple good chances to score in the first half but James Hartshorn (Chelmsford, Mass.made three stops for the Rams and Jacob Ramer (Los Angeles, CA) made five stops including a couple diving rejections in net for the Lions. 

  • The Rams outshot the Lions 27-to-13 in the game and 4-to-1 in the overtime periods. 

  • Hartshorn made six saves overall and Ramer made 11 rejections for the visitors.  

  • Jeffson Malachie (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) led the way for the Rams with six shots and RZ Dziejma (Flanders, NJ) and Connor Dang (Apex, NC) each sent  

  • The physical contest saw a total of 31 fouls, 22 of which were committed by the Rams.  

UP NEXT: 

  • The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Mass. Maritime for MASCAC action at 7pm. The Lions travel to Clark for NEWMAC action on Saturday at 1pm.
