Suffolk Men’s Soccer Triumphant in Battle of the Rams

East Boston, Mass – The Suffolk University men's soccer team erased an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Framingham State 2-1 in non-conference action Wednesday evening in East Boston 

THE BASICS:

- Location: James A Sartori Stadium – East Boston, Mass.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Framingham Rams got on the board first in the 20th minute when Kunphel Sinha scored off an assist from Cameron Lau to take the early lead. 

  • The Suffolk Rams evened up the score in the 35th minute when Miguel Varela registered an unassisted goal.  

  • The host Rams took the lead for good in the 47th minute when Nigel Leo found the back of the net.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Both sides were knotted at ten shots a piece for the game. 

  • Joseph Sturzo made two stops in the goal for the Rams.  

  • Tom Bennett turned away one attempt in the win for Suffolk. 

  • The visiting Rams had six corner kick attempts to Suffolk's four.
