Nardizzi, Liverpool and Nichols Earn Major Awards; Four Named All-MASCAC

Framingham, Mass. — The Framingham State duo of Bryce Nardizzi (Framingham, Mass.) and Johance Liverpool (Arima, Trinidad) were named the 2018 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honorees and headline the All-Conference Team as voted on by the coaches from around the league.

Nardizzi and Liverpool were also named to the All-MASCAC being joined on the squad by senior Ken Stahovish (Springfield, Mass.) and junior Isaac De Souza (Sao Paulo, Brazil). Rams head coach Dean Nichols was named the Champion's Choice Coach of the Year.

Nardizzi helped the Rams to a 5-0-2 mark during conference play and the top seed in the MASCAC Tournament. He finished the year atop the league in goals with 15, points with 39 and game-winning goals with six. He also had the second-most assists with nine and was 2-for-2 on penalty kicks. 

Liverpool earned the first-ever 2018 MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year honor after anchoring a Rams defense that held their opponents to 1.52 goals per game, a.098 shooting percentage with seven shutouts on the year.

Stahovish earned All-MASCAC honors for the third straight year after scoring seven goals and adding eight assists for 22 points on the year for the Rams. De Souza earned first-team honors for the second straight year after adding eleven goals and nine assists in his second season with the Rams.
