Ice Hockey Falls to Westfield State in MASCAC Tournament Quarterfinal

Westfield, Mass. - The fifth seeded Framingham State University ice hockey team saw their season come to a close this evening with a 4-0 loss to fourth seed Westfield State in one quarterfinal of the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Tournament at Amelia Park.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Owls took a 2-0 lead after receiving first period goals from Cooper Board and Cullen Young.  

  • The second period was scoreless, but the Owls pushed the lead to 3-0 on a tally from Ryan Moorhouse. The Owls added an empty net goal late to reach the final margin. 

  • Trevor Stenberg took the loss in net for the Rams, but made 21 saves. 

  • The Rams held a slim 27-25 lead in shots for the game and neither team was able to convert on the power play in the game.
