Ice Hockey Earns Fifth Seed in MASCAC Tournament

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's ice hockey has earned the fifth seed in this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.  As the fifth seed the Rams will travel to fourth Westfield State in one quarterfinal on Thursday, February 22nd at Amelia Park at 7:35 p.m.

The men's ice team completed the regular season 8-15-2 overall and 8-11-2 in MASCAC action. The winner of the Framingham/Westfield quarterfinal will advance to the tournament semifinals which will take place on Saturday at either top seed Plymouth State or second seed Fitchburg State.

Third seed UMass Dartmouth hosts sixth seed Worcester State on Thursday in the other quarterfinal. The tournament concludes on Saturday, March 2nd with the winners of the two semifinals meeting at the highest remaining seed.  The winner of the finals receives the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship.
