Hooksett, NH. – The Framingham State men's ice hockey team dropped their season opener on the road in overtime to Southern New Hampshire by a score of 2-1 Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Rams scored the first goal of the game with just over ten minutes to play in regulation when Brady Rossbach snuck a hot past the Penman goalie from a wide angle.

SNHU tied it up with just over four minutes remaining in regulation when Matt Amante finished off a fury of shots in front of the net.

With just under a minute in overtime Brendan Lynch gathered a loose puck in the neutral zone and slid his way through the Rams defense beating Stenberg for the game-winner.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Trevor Stenberg made 30 stops in net for the Rams.

Sean Guerin made 35 saves in goal for SNHU.

Both sides were unsuccessful on the power play. The Rams were 0-for-3 while SNHU was 0-for-5.
