Plymouth, NH – The Framingham State University ice hockey team surrendered five second period goals to Plymouth State as the Rams saw their season come to a close with an 8-4 loss to the Panthers in one semifinal of the 2022 MASCAC Ice Hockey Tournament.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Panthers got on the board in the 8th minute when Whim Stalburg finished off a rebounded shot from Peter Laviolette for the 1-0 lead.
- The Panthers scored almost immediately in the second when Jeromey Rancourt converted with help from Peter Laviolette once again. Plymouth would add 4 more goals from Grant Dewitt, Myles Abbate, Jacon Laurin, and JR Barone in the period for the 5-0 advantage.
- In the 19th minute, the Rams capitalized on a powerplay of their own when Jacob Garman buried a slap shot off a setup from Dylan Marty and Ashton Collazo to send them into the break trailing 6-1.
- The Rams scored three more times in the third. In the first minute Jacob Garman capitalized on another power play opportunity, followed by a Dylan Marty goal in the 10th minute and Patrick Colgan scored on the power play in the 14th minute.
- The Panthers picked up two last minute goals from JR Barone for his second goal of the game and Mike McPherson to reach the 8-4 margin.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Rams were 3-for-5 on the power play while the Panthers were 0-for-3 on the man advantage.
- The Panthers outshot the Rams by a margin of 50-to-26.
