Westfield Downs Men’s Basketball in MASCAC Action

Westfield, Mass. Five Westfield State men's basketball players scored in double figures as the Owls posted a 110-59 win over Framingham State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference game at the Woodward Center on Saturday afternoon. 

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Westfield State 110, Framingham State 59 

- Records:  Westfield State (14-6, 5-2 MASCAC), Framingham State (5-15, 0-7 MASCAC) 

- Location:  Woodward Center Westfield, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The Owls ran out to a 23-6 lead in the first 10 minutes of the contest and never looked back 

  • Juju Omot finished 9-18 from the floor and 3-4 from three-point range, and added five rebounds.  Brendon Hamilton scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Owls.   Dom Strother added 15 points, Kuany Teng netted 12, and Brendan Keaveny came off the bench to add 12 points, six assists and six steals.    

  • Westfield forced 28 turnovers from the Rams, which the Owls converted into 35 points. 

  • Framingham was led by 16 points from Kyle PhilistinIvan Nyantenji  added nine off the bench on 3-6 shooting from behind the arc. Duane Mason, Jr. led the Rams with six rebounds.
