Men’s Basketball Falls to #18 Trinity (Conn.)

Northfield, VT - The Framingham State University men's basketball team went toe to toe with 18thranked Trinity College in the first half, but the Bantams pulled away in the second half as they defeated the Rams 76-44 this evening at the Ed Hockenbury Classic hosted by Norwich University.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • Trailing 7-2 just over minutes into the game, the Rams used a 9-2 to take an 11-9 lead with 11:12 on the clock.  

  • The two teams traded points until a three from Bryan Thompson gave the Rams a 21-18 lead with just under five to play in the half. The Bantums closed the half with an 11-2 run taking a 29-23 lead into the locker room. 

  • Trinity started the second half with a 15-4 run taking a 44-27 lead just over six minutes into the frame. Trinity maintained a sizeable lead throughout the remainder of the second half and remain undefeated on the season with the victory. 

  •  The Rams were pace by 14 points and seven rebounds from Adonis Vashon, while Diego Ledesma chipped in with eight points off the bench.

The Rams are back in action Sunday in the consolation game of the Ed Hockenbury Classic where they will face Me-Fort Kent at 1 p.m..
