Men’s Basketball Earns 67-59 Win Over Regis

Framingham, Mass The Framingham State men's basketball picked up a win at home on Tuesday night defeating Regis College by a score of 67-59 in non-conference play at Logan Gymnasium. 

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Framingham State 67, Regis College 59 

- Records:  Framingham State (3-3), Regis College (1-4) 

- Location:  Logan Gymnasium – Framingham, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The two team played a neck-and-neck first half; with Regis leading 23-20 with just over six minutes to play in the period the Rams went on an 11-3 run capped by a Jahden Erold three-point play to head into the break, up 31-24. 

  • The Pride were pushing early in the second half and cut the Rams lead to three, but Adonis Vashon connected from long range on back-to-back Rams possessions to stifle the Regis momentum as the Rams would hang on for the win.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams were led offensively by Joshua Saint Jean who scored 14 points with 16 rebounds and an assist. 

  • Vashon added 11 on 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and Tyrell Staples-Santos added eight off the bench for the Rams. 

  • The Pride received a game-high 24 points off the bench from Jamir Harvey who added eight boards to his stat line. Cameron Wilkins and Russell Rau each chipped in ten points apiece.  

  • Neither team shot the ball particularly well, with the Rams shooing 36% from the field and 61% from the charity stripe to the Pride's line of 41% from the floor and 56% from the free-throw line.

The Rams return to the court on Monday, November 27thwhen they host Dean College at 5:30pm. The Pride will host Lesley on Tuesday at 7pm.
