Men's Basketball Opens Season with Setback at Lesley

Medford, Mass. - The Framingham State University men's basketball team opened the 2023-24 season this evening and were defeated 75-68 by Lesley University in non-conference action at Medford High School.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams were led by a double double effort of 12 points and 10 rebounds from Jonathan Noel. Noel connected on 5-of-9 from the floor and added three assists in his first game with the Rams. 

  • Kyle Philistin chipped in with 13 points on 3-of-10 from the floor and added three boards and a pair of steals. 

  • Adonis Vashon tallied 11 points with two boards and a steal, while Diego Ledesma and Duane Mason Jr. chipped in with 10 points apiece off the bench. 

  • The Lynx received a game best 23 points from Malachi Howard, while Tarell Joseph finished the game with 15. 

  • The Rams shot 37% from the floor in the game and 25% from behind the arc, while the Lynx connected on 39% from the floor and 26% from behind the arc.
