Men’s Basketball Slated 6th in MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass. The Framingham State men's basketball team has finished sixth in the 2023-24 MASCAC Men's Basketball Preseason poll as voted on by the coaches around the league 

The Rams earned 12 points in the poll after posting a 5-20 overall record and 2-10 mark in the league last season. The Rams bring back Jahden Erold who averaged 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds while collecting 31 assists, 34 steals and five blocks. 

The Reigning MASCAC Champions Worcester State have been tabbed to repeat as the 2023-24 MASCAC Men's Basketball Championship receiving five of the seven first place votes for 35 points. Bridgewater State sits in the second slot with 31 points and the final first place vote while Westfield State is next in third with 29 points.  

Landing in fourth with 21 points is Salem State followed by Fitchburg State with 14 points. Rounding out the 2023-34 preseason poll are Framingham State and MCLA in sixth and seventh with 12 and seven points, respectively.  

The Rams open up their 2023-24 campaign on Wednesday, November 8thwhen they travel to Lesley for 7:30pm tip.
