Payton Named First Team All-MASCAC

Framingham, Mass. – Senior guard Manny Payton (Fitchburg, Mass.) has been selected to the 2018-19 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball All-Conference First Team in voting conducted by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office this morning.

Payton, a second team All-MASCAC selection as a junior, earns all-conference honors after averaging 23.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.  Payton finished the season second in the MASCAC in scoring while shooting 46% from the floor.  Payton surpassed the 1,000 career point mark in December and finished his career with the Rams with 1,256 points in a Ram uniform.  Payton tallied a career-high 38 points in back-to-back games including the MASCAC Tournament quarterfinals to close his career.

The Rams finished the 2018-19 season 6-19 overall and 5-7 in the league which earned them the fifth seed in the MASCAC Tournament.
