Mclaurin Named MASCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. —Framingham State University junior guard Marcus Mclaurin (Braintree, Mass.) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the Week ending January 23rd.  This is Mclaurin's first player of the week honor as a Ram. 

Mclaurin averaged 23 points and 4.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Rams.  He scored 33 points including the game-winning jumper with 2.7 seconds remaining in an 81-79 win at Westfield State on Saturday.  Mclaurin, who is averaging 18.0 points per game this season, shot 59 percent (19-32) from the floor for the week and connected on a trio of three-pointers.  

The Rams (6-9, 3-2 MASCAC) return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Nichols College for a non-conference matchup slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
