Field Hockey Blanks UMass Dartmouth

Framingham, Mass. The Framingham State field hockey team defeated UMass Dartmouth by a score of 3-0 in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon in Dartmouth.  

THE BASICS: 

- Score:   Framingham State 3, UMass Dartmouth 0 

- Records:Framingham State (5-5), UMass Dartmouth (3-8) 

- Location: Cressey Field – Dartmouth, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The Rams scored two second quarter goals to take the early lead. In the 24th minutes Kaylee Beck scored off a pass from Isabella Kondi. 

  • A couple minutes later Emma Bailey got in on the action again with Kondi assisting.  

  • The Rams capped the scoring in the 58th minute when Ashley Malmquist scored the Rams third goal of the evening.  

  • Kaitlyn Tello earned the shutout making three saves in the win for the Rams.  

  • Hannah Trombly made six stops in the setback for the Corsairs.  

  • The Rams held the advantage in shots 13-to-8 and penalty corners 6-to-4.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Westfield State starting at 11am.
