Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University field hockey trailed 2-1 late in the game before tallying a goal in the final minute to force overtime and then converting a corner just over a minute into extra time to secure a 3-2 victory over Eastern Connecticut this evening in non-conference action at Maple Street Field.

The Rams took a 1-0 lead midway through the first quarter when Brandi Core converted off a feed from Kaylee Beck.

Eastern tallied the tying goal in the 22ndminute when Grace Barlage assisted on Betsy Davis' goal.

The Warriors took the lead just over three minutes into the third quarter on a goal from Barlage off a feed from Angelina Falleni.

The game remained 2-1 in favor of the Warriors until the closing minutes. With just under two minutes to go in regulation Ashley Malmquist found the back of the net off a pass from Isabella Kondi to force overtime.

The Rams opened overtime with a penalty corner and a shot that hit the post. After being awarded another corner, Kondi converted off a feed from Core for the game winner.

The Rams outshot the Warriors 14-9, while Eastern Conn. Held a 10-8 edge in corners.

Kaitlyn Tello earned the victory making three saves, while Hannah Jalowiec took the loss for Eastern but made eight stops..
