Nashua, NH. – The Framingham State field hockey team scored a late second quarter goal to defeat Rivier in non-league action 1-0 Tuesday evening.

The game's lone goal came with just under two minutes to play in the second quarter when Brandi Core found the back of the cage after a pass from Ashley Malmquist.

Core led the Rams with six shots, two on goal Malmquist had five shots, three on target.

Reilly Swislosky led the Raiders with three shots, one on goal.

Kaitlyn Tello earned the win posting her first career shutout, making three saves along the way.

Kyle Coupal made five saves in the loss for Rivier.

The visitors outshot the Raiders by a 20-to-12 margin despite the Rams earning 12 penalty corners to the Rivier 10.
