Danbury, Conn. - The Framingham State University football team was defeated 41-2076-18 this afternoon by WestConn in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at the Westside Athletic Complex 

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  WestConn 76, Framingham State 18 

-Records: Framingham State (2-7, 2-6 MASCAC), WestConn (7-2, 7-1 MASCAC) 

- Location: Westside Athletic Complex Danbury, Conn. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • EJ Nichols completed 8-of-21 passes for 99 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Nichols also rushed for 24 yaards on seven carries. 

  • Leo Tanner completed 5-of-13 for 25 yards and added a touchdown and a pick. 

  • Makoto Uchikawa rushed for 31 yards on six attempts with a score, while Camari Glasgow rushed for 32 yards on five attempts. 

  • Ty Kelley was the Rams leading receiver making three catches for 55 yards, while Ayden Ramirez made two catches for 50 yards. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • WestConn jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter before the Rams got on the board on a one yard touchdown run from Uchikawa. 

  • WestConn added two more scores before Alex Maia caught a five yard touchdown pass from Nichols. WestConn would add two more scores before the half. 

  • The Rams added a late touchdown in the fourth on a nine yard touchdown reception by Kesean Spruill.

The Rams are back in action next Saturday when they host Worcester State at 12 p.m.
