Fennelly, Ford and Onujiogu Earn Major Awards as Football Lands Nine on All-MASCAC Teams

Framingham, Mass. – Senior offensive tackle Andrew Fennelly (Wayland, Mass.) has been selected the MASCAC Football Offensive Lineman of the Year, freshman running back Devaun Ford (Mashpee, Mass.) has been named the MASCAC Offensive Rookie of the Year and junior defensive lineman Joshua Onujiogu (Wareham, Mass.) has been named the MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year as the Rams landed nine players on the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football All-Conference Teams.

Joining Onujiogu on the All-MASCAC first team defense are senior defensive back Dwayne Hunter-Parker (Waterbury, Conn.), junior inside linebacker Anthony Behonick (Rutland, Mass.) and junior defensive lineman Joshua Smiley (Springfield, Mass.), while Fennelly and Ford are joined on the first team offense by senior quarterback Adam Wojenski (Stratford, Conn.) and senior tight end Jacob Maher (Marshfield, Mass.).

Sophomore outside linebacker Cully Curran (Arlington, Mass.) was named to the All-MASCAC second team defense.

Ford earns rookie of the year honors after rushing for 1,003 yards on 173 carries with nine touchdowns during his first season with the Rams. Ford ran behind an offensive line anchored by Fennelly and was key to the Rams leading the MASCAC in rushing this season averaging 172.8 yards per game.

Onujiogu returned this season and recorded 44 total tackles on the year including 11 for a loss with eight sacks, a forced fumble and two pass breakups. The Rams defense allowed just 90.5 yards rushing per game and 274 total yards per contest, both best in the MASCAC.

The Rams finished the 2019 regular season as the MASCAC Champions at 8-2 overall and 8-0 in conference action.  The Rams received the league's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Football Championship and will travel to Wesley College this weekend for an opening round game.
