Wojenski Receives Week Five NEFW/Grinold Chapter Gold Helmet Award

Framingham, Mass. – Senior quarterback Adam Wojenski (Stratford, Conn.) has been named the Division II/III recipient of the New England Football Writers Association Gold Helmet Award presented by the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation for week five of the 2019 football season.

Wojenski threw for 422 yards and five touchdowns while amassing 475 yards of total offense as the Rams defeated previously unbeaten UMass Dartmouth 39-33 on Saturday.  Wojenski completed 14 of 25 passes without throwing a pick and threw touchdowns of 39, 69, 54, 26 and a school record 97 yards to senior Jacob Maher.  Wojenski also rushed for 53 yards on 11 carries.

New Hampshire freshman linebacker Oleh Manzyk was the FBS, FCS Gold Helmet winner for week.

For the fifth straight year, the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation is the presenting sponsor for both the weekly and end-of-year Gold Helmet Awards presented to student-athletes from FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III institutions throughout New England.
