Curry Swings Past Baseball 11-10

Milton, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team battled back and forth with Curry College this afternoon but were eventually defeated 11-10 in non-conference action.   

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Curry 11, Framingham State 10 

- Records: Framingham State (13-16), Curry (6-28) 

- Location: Curry College Milton, Mass.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams got on the board in the top of the second on an RBI single from Dane Frellick. 

  • The Rams extended the lead to 6-0 with five runs in the top of the third. Robert Johnston and Frellick drove in runs with singles and Daniel Robichaud added a two run double. 

  • Curry tied the game with four runs in the bottom of the third and two more in the bottom of the fifth. 

  • The Rams retook the lead in the top of the fifth when they plated three runs including RBI singles from Ryan Boyle and Lucas Basile. 

  • Curry tallied two runs in the bottom of the fifth closing the gap to one. The Colonels added three in the seventh taking an 11-9 lead. 

  • The Rams tallied the final run of the game in the top of the eighth on an RBI single from Jared MacLeod. 

  • Frellick finished the game 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI, while Robichaud finished with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI. MacLeod finished the day 2-for-2 with a run scored, an RBI and two walks.
