Baseball Falls to Hartford in Seven Innings

Hartford, Conn.  - The Framingham State University baseball team was defeated 14-1 in seven innings this evening by the University of Hartford in non-conference action at Dunkin Donuts Stadium.   

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Hartford 14, Framingham State 1 

- Records: Framingham State (13-15), Hartford (8-24)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • Hartford opened up a lead scoring six runs in the bottom of the first and four more in the bottom of the second. 

  • Hartford added three more in the fifth and a single run in the sixth to account for their final runs of the game. 

  • The Ram got on the board in the top of the seventh on an RBI single from Teddy Chisholm scoring Joseph Cicchetti who had doubled earlier in the inning. 

  •  Dane Frellick finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate for the Rams, while Chisholm and Cicchetti were each 1-for-1 in the game. 

  • Scott Nosky took the loss for the Rams going an inning, allowing six runs, while Daniil Rye went 3.2 innings allowing six runs on four hits. Evan Kirkpatrick went 1.1 on the mound allowing two runs on four hits.
