Long Ball Lifts Baseball Past Salem State 4-3
Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team received a pair of two-run homeruns as the Rams defeated Salem State University 4-3 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this afternoon at Bowditch Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Salem State grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a solo homerun to right from Brahiam Ortega.

The Rams took their first lead of the day in the bottom of the third on two-run homer to deep center from Ryan Boyle.

The Vikings retook the lead in the top of the sixth on an RBI ground out from Conor Dolan and RBI single to left from James Dolan.

The Rams received a two-run homerun to left from Caleb Hendrix in the bottom of the sixth inning putting the Rams on top 4-3.

Cameron Prescott earned the victory on the hill for the Rams going six innings, allowing three earned runs on eight hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

Anthony Panza recorded his fifth save of the season tossing three innings of scoreless relief allowing just two hits with three strikeouts.

Caleb Hendrix finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBI and two run scored, while Steven Burbank also recorded a pair of hits.
