Baseball Downs Lasell 10-5
Waltham, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball jumped out to a 7-1 lead and held on for a 10-5 victory over Lasell College this evening in non-conference action at Stein Diamond.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Rams grabbed a 3-0 lead in the top of the first on RBI singles from Ryan Boyle, James Gilleran and Lucas Basile.

The Judges countered with one in the bottom of the inning, but the Rams added four on a two run double from Gilleran and two runs when Matthew Shaver reached on an error pushing the lead to 7-1.

The Rams received a two-run single from Robert Johnston in the top of the fourth pushing the lead to 9-1, but the Judges closed the gap to 9-5 with runs in the fourth and sixth.

The Rams added a run in the top of ninth on a Ryan Plocker double to reach the final margin.

Cameron Prescott earned the victory going three innings allowing one unearned run on four hits with two strikeouts.

Gilleran finished the game with two hits and three RBI, while Johnston finished with two hits, two runs scored and two RBI.
