Baseball Downed by Western New England
Springfield, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team was defeated 9-1 by Western New England University in non-conference action this afternoon at Trelease Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Western New England got on the board with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first and vie in the bottom of the third.

The Golden Bears added a single run in the bottom of the fourth pushing the lead to 8-0.

The Rams got on the board in the top of the fifth. Caleb Hendrix reached on an error and came around to score on an RBI double from Ryan Plocker.

Western New England tallied the final run of the game in the bottom of the fifth to reach the final margin.

Shane Costello went 2-for-4 in the game, while Plocker finished the game 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Cameron Prescott took the loss on the mound for the Rams going an inning and allowing two earned runs on two hits.
