Hodgson Named D3baseball.com All-New England Honorable Mention
Framingham, Mass. – Senior starting pitcher Kyle Hodgson (Berkley, Mass.) has been named to the 2019 D3baseball.com All-New England Region Honorable Mention team as announced by D3baseball.com this afternoon.
Hodgson, the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Pitcher of the Year and first team All-MASCAC selection, earns his first D3baseball.com honors after an outstanding final season for the Rams. Hodgson led the MASCAC in wins going 8-2 on the year including a perfect 5-0 during league play. Hodgson posted a 2.65 ERA and led the league in innings pitched (91.2), complete games (6) and shutouts (2). He recorded 80 strikeouts on the year including the 200th of his career and walked just nine batters on the season.
The 2019 season marks the eighth year that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 800 players nominated. Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region, as well as D3baseball.com staff and contributors.
