Endicott Walks Off with 8-7 Victory over Baseball

Beverly, Mass. – The Framingham State University baseball team surrendered seven runs in the final two innings as they were defeated 8-7 by Endicott College at North Field this afternoon.

With the win, Endicott improves to 9-7 on the year, while the Rams are now 10-9.

The Rams built a 7-0 lead through six and half innings, before giving up eight runs in the Gulls final three at bats.

In the top of the first, the Rams grabbed a 2-0 lead on RBI singles from junior Kyle Pileski (Bristol, Conn.) and sophomore Kyle Dembrowski (Natick, Mass.).

The game remained 2-0 in favor of the Rams until the top of the seventh when they plated five more runs.  Sophomore Joe Ambrosino (Bradeton, Fla.) scored a run with a triple and senior Ryan Wardwell (Hudson, Mass.) plated Ambrosino with a sacrifice fly that was dropped in the outfield.  Sophomore Aaron Williams (Brockton, Mass.) added an RBI single and Wardwell scored on a wild pitch.  Sophomore Jordan Pallazola (Rockport, Mass.) capped the scoring with an RBI double.

Endicott pushed across a single run in the bottom of the seventh on a fielder's choice, before adding two in the eighth and five in the ninth to walk off with the victory.

Sophomore Kyle Hodgson (Berkley, Mass.) started on the hill for the Rams and did not factor in the decision.  Hodgson went seven innings and allowing one run, unearned, on four hits with three strikeouts and a walk.

The Rams are back in action on Friday with a non-league game at Dean College at 3:30 p.m.
