Ketterer and Lindberg Earn All-MASCAC Honors

Buzzards Bay, Mass. – Senior designated hitter Corey Ketterer (Plymouth, Mass.) and senior right-handed pitcher Tommy Lindberg (Stratford, Conn.) have been named to the 2011 All-MASCAC baseball teams in voting conducted by the conference's coaches and announced by the MASCAC office this morning.  Ketterer, a second team selection in 2010, earns first team honors, while Lindberg has been voted to the second team for the second time in two years.      

Ketterer batted .331 in 2011 with 42 hits including nine doubles and a triple.  He drove in 19 runs this season with a .417 slugging percentage.  Ketterer finishes his career in a Rams uniform with a .336 batting average, .410 slugging and .448 on base percentage. 

Lindberg, who earned pitcher of the week honors twice this season, went 6-2 in 2011 with six complete games and two shutouts.  Lindberg's 2.31 ERA ranks among the conference leaders and opponents are hitting only .279 against him.  In two years with the Rams Lindberg is 11-4 with a 3.00 ERA which is a new FSU career record.

The Rams finished the 2011 season 17-19 overall and in fifth place at 7-7 in the MASCAC.
