Bio

With the opening of the FSU Athletic and Recreation Center in 2001, Mark Greenfield was hired as the Facility Manager to oversee the development of the new building and the introduction of a new intramural and new fitness programs as well as supervising the day to day operation of the building.

The recreation and fitness program continues to expand with individual and team events and the group exercise program now features 12 classes taught by certified instructors as well as a slate of faculty/staff group exercise classes. The field turf at Maple Street Field along with the new softball/practice turf has become a desirable venue for area youth soccer and lacrosse programs as well as intramurals and clubs at Framingham State. Greenfield works with outside groups including Global Premier Soccer, Framingham Youth Football and Marian/Keefe football which calls Framingham State their home field. He is also the golf club advisor which was added as a club this year.

Before coming to FSU, Mark was the Assistant Director of Recreational Sports at Assumption College for nine years overseeing the opening of the new Plourde Recreation Center and developing one of the biggest intramural programs in the area.

Mark was also the Recreation Supervisor for the city of Leominster for four years supervising the town's youth sports program, playgrounds and adult and youth trip program.

Greenfield holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and a master's degree in Sports Administration from Kent State University and resides in Worcester with his dog Jet.
